Delete your Pitch account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Pitch account and what happens to your data. Pitch is operated by Digital Empower (Netherlands).
1. How to delete your account
You can request account deletion in two ways:
- In-app (self-serve) — Sign in to Pitch at https://www.getpitch.pro → Profile → Account → Delete account. Confirm the deletion when prompted. Your account is queued for deletion immediately.
- By email — Send a deletion request to privacy@getpitch.pro from the email address registered to your Pitch account. We will action the request within 30 days and confirm by email once your data has been removed.
2. What is deleted
When you delete your Pitch account, the following data is permanently removed within 30 days:
- Account data — Your name, email address, profile photo, and authentication credentials.
- Club and team data you created — Clubs, teams, player records, match plans, training sessions, tactic boards, ratings, evaluations, attendance, and any free-text notes you have written.
- Uploaded files — Player photos, club logos, and match videos you have uploaded — removed from Vercel Blob and Mux.
- Player records you have entered — All personal data (names, dates of birth, photos, performance ratings, injury notes) for players entered under your account is deleted alongside your account, in line with the Privacy Policy section 4.
- Push notification tokens — Any device push tokens registered to your account are revoked.
3. What is kept (and for how long)
A small subset of data is retained for legal or operational reasons:
- Billing and tax records — If you have ever paid for a Pitch subscription, invoices and payment confirmations are retained for 7 years (Dutch tax law — Algemene wet inzake rijksbelastingen, Art. 52). Stored separately from the operational platform via our billing provider (Nexus CRM).
- Anonymised audit logs — Login timestamps and security-relevant events are retained for up to 12 months in an anonymised form for fraud prevention.
No other data is retained. We do not keep backups longer than 30 days post-deletion.
4. Account deletion vs subscription cancellation
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account — your account remains active on the Starter (free) tier until you actively delete it. To both cancel billing and delete data, follow Section 1 above. If you only want to stop billing, manage your subscription at https://www.getpitch.pro/profile.
5. Linked coaching staff
If you have invited other coaches or staff to your clubs or teams, their accounts are independent — deleting your account does not delete theirs. Coaches you have invited will lose access to your clubs and teams as soon as your account is deleted, but their own profile and any other clubs they belong to are unaffected.
